The Horace Mann League of the USA

Strategic Planning:

Periodically, the Officers and Directors review and revise the HML strategic. The current strategic plan was developed six year ago. Each year, the plan as been revised. It would be appropriate to consider a new strategic plan to guide the League during the next three to five years.

The current strategic plan contains the following items

  1. Recognition long time members of the League.
  2. Sales of the Art of Teaching by Horace Mann and the print- sales and gifts.
  3. US Postage Stamp of Horace Mann
  4. Newsletters and Directory - publications
  5. Survey of Members of Factors Inhibiting School Improvement
  6. Legal Issues and the Court - "Friend of the Court" - by Fred Hartmeister
  7. Horace Mann League Foundation - report by Dr. Ken Bird
  8. Recognizing outstanding friends and educators of public education
  9. Horace Mann League Poster - report by Ken Bird (order form on Internet)
  10. Book publication - Public Education for the Future - Report by Larry Dlugosh
  11. Affiliations with other organizations
