What is PGE Publishing?

PGE Publishing is a small independent publishing firm which was established in 2005 in central Washington State. PGE has currently teamed up with Lightning Source Inc. and has publishes 5 titles by author A.D. Smith.
How did PGE Publishing come about?
PGE Publishing is an outgrowth of (PGE) Positive Gain Enterprises which started in Southern California before moving to central Washington State in 1996. Originally PGE was a Public Relations and Freelance Writing Firm. Due to the extreme difficulty in attracting large publishing firms in writing projects, many alternative printing avenues were sought until the present PGE publishing company was formed.
What does PGE publish?
Currently we publish two annual newsletter called Alkali Flats Gazette and Positive Spin. We have published 2 genealogical family history books; I don't know you from Adam, and The Owen Family. Between 1999 and 2005 PGE has published three science fiction novels; The Corridor, The T'na Chronicles; Annihilation!, and The Prophesy of Arden.
We plan to eventually launch at least one book in every genre of fiction and many subjects of non-fiction.

Is PGE open to submissions?
PGE is mid an on-going learning curve of the publishing industry from writing, printing to marketing and promotion of books. We do not pretend to have all the resources and contacts in the industry. We also do not have deep pockets to launch extensive writing project campaigns. As we do sympathize with new struggling authors, and know how hard it is to gain acceptance in the publishing field we are always willing to help in any ethical writing endeavor. However we can not carry outside projects without some kind of additional funding. If this explanation does not scare you off, then feel free to send a query and a sample of your project with contact information to the address above or contact us about your project by e-mail: positivegain@hotmail.com
How much would it cost to publish?
Presently we do what we do for the love of writing and the gratification of seeing it in print. Having said that, we do not pass on any inflated costs of materials, setups and printing costs. We do require an additional flat $8 an hour wage for our time. This policy can be replaced with book sales when applicable. We can provide ghost writing, proofreading, editing, typesetting, limited artwork, and liaison printing services. Reading and evaluating stories is free.
Providing that your writing project is of a similar genre and thus would have a similar audience, we can offer cost saving joint mailings and include your book in our catalog, promotions and distribution to selective markets.
Budget and sale reports of past writing projects are available on request.
